Details: | Ford T-Bucket. I built this T 15 years ago and has logged approx 700 miles to local shows. Basics are: 350 Chevy, 350 Trans, Holly 4-BBL, Chev rear end, Mickey Thompson tires, Steel gas tank under the seat, battery in the picnic basket in the bed and stock HEI dist. She runs strong and is plenty quick. I stitched the interior, created a interior steel framework for the fiberglass body and installed the upholstery in removable fiberglass panels. I did not care for chrome much so most of the car is done in stainless steel or polished aluminum. This includes the following in stainless; fire wall, windshield frame, radiator shroud, fuel lines, exhaust collectors, oak bed brackets and many more smaller items. I machined the valve covers and made the FORD emblems that are attached on top for fun. I machined the front disk backing plates out of T6 aluminum and used Monte Carlo calipers. I painted the body in a two stage sea foam green color. It is registered with CA historical plates as a 1924 ford. I made the rear tail light from a horse drawn carriage and the light still had the oil soaked wick in it when I got it. Gauges are VDO and I made the machine turned instrument cluster for them. There is a very old SW vacuum cage I installed on the column and a modern Auto Meter Tach. We enjoyed building the T and driving it but it we just dont have time anymore and cars should be driven and not just parked in a garage. Thats why she is for sale. Any questions please call Ed, I will call you back if you leave a message, or email is great. |
