Details: Produced from 1927 to 1931, Ford built more than four million Model Aandrsquo;s during its four years of production and as one of the most well known American automobiles of the last hundred years it has also become one of the most iconic. With nine different body styles available by 1930 sales had reached three million and Ford would go on to produce over a million and a quarter more Model Aandrsquo;s by yearandrsquo;s end. However, despite such remarkable production numbers for Model Aandrsquo;s overall, this 1930 Ford Model A Deluxe Roadster is one of the rarer examples built on the Model A platform and was the first year that a Deluxe Roadster was offered. With only 11,318 built in 1930 and just 64,315 built in total over the last two years of Model A production, Deluxe Roadsters account for just one percent of all Model Aandrsquo;s built. This fully restored 1930 Model A Deluxe Roadster is a long time California resident as is evident by its original California license plates, and ownership records for the roadster go back to 1989. As a deluxe model, this roadster has dual sidemount spare tires, as well as a shorter windshield and different top mechanism and uses flat irons to secure the windows as opposed to the tubular irons used on standard roadsters. Displayed in a vibrant red with black running boards and a tan top with brown piping, the Model A shows very nicely for its age and rides on a set of color matched wire spoked wheels with Ford-script hubcaps mounted with Firestone 4.75/5.00-19 wide whitewall tires. Inside the cabin the interior has been redone in tan vinyl with black carpet with a matching tan rumble seat out back. Other exterior features include Ford-script running board steps, a chrome luggage rack with wood trim as well as a Boyce Motometer radiator cap, all of which add just the right amount of accessorization to this roadster while still maintaining a stock, original appearance. This 1930 Model A Roadster looks stunning and quite literally needs nothing but a new owner to continue to enjoy it just as it rolled off the line in 1930.
