Hot-rodding is all about individualityand#44; so you should think of this 1932 Ford 3-window coupe as a blank canvas. Someone has already done all the hard workand#44; but think of the unique spin you could put on this black coupe to truly make it your own. Its ready to rock right nowand#44; and with a little extra workand#44; youll have a one-of-a-kind rod that will stand out. At this priceand#44; you already know the body is fiberglassand#44; but its rather accurately doneand#44; including an unchopped top thats a rare find. The body is basic black and the paint looks the way youd expect a hot rod to look: good enough to pass musterand#44; but applied knowing the important stuff is the hardware under the hood. You could do a good color sand and buff to take it up a notchand#44; or perhaps add some flames or more pinstripesand#44; or even two-tone it somehowand#44; the skys the limit. It has a proper 32 Ford grille and the low-set commercial headlights look fantastic. We also like the basic simplicity of the exposed hinges and the lovely original-style door handlesand#44; so you dont have to deal with finicky door poppers. Theres some pinstripe work on the trunkand#44; and its flanked by a set of original-style taillights with blue-dot lensesand#44; as well as a chrome spreader bar protecting the rear-mounted gas tank. If you want a traditional lookand#44; this cool coupe totally nails it. The interior is nicely styled and unlike original 32 coupesand#44; has plenty of room even for taller drivers. The contoured bench seat is done in two tone burgundy and gray vinyl thatll look good practically foreverand#44; and custom door panels were created to match. The gray carpets are a nice contrast and fit rather well and the dash has been painted to match the bodywork. Youll need to invest a little time hereand#44; because the gauges (except for the tach) are not yet hooked upand#44; nor is the A/C systemand#44; but both of those are nice weekend projects thatll add value as well as comfort. We love the 4-spoke wheel that looks a lot like the dirt track steering wheels used in the 1950s and the Lokar shifter for the 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission looks an awful lot like an original piece. The trunk is surprisingly spaciousand#44; especially with the battery tucked up high and out of the wayand#44; and all it needs is some quick and simple finishing to be ready to go. Up front theres a 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 that runs great and makes all the usual hot rod sounds. Theres a big Holley 4-barrel carburetor up topand#44; plenty of shiny parts to look at (after alland#44; its out there for everyone to see)and#44; and the right hardware to make it reliable. Check out the big radiator up frontand#44; the chrome alternatorand#44; and the block-hugging headers that eliminate interference issues. The front suspension is tubular A-arms and coil-over shocks with rack-and-pinion steeringand#44; so handling is surprisingly agileand#44; while the rear is a custom Ford 9-inch on a 4-link setup. Glasspack-style mufflers give it an awesome hot rod sound and youll dig the beautifully machined brake calipers up front. Rounding it out are a set of burgundy steel wheels that really look elegantand#44; especially with hubcaps and trim ringsand#44; plus those staggered wide whitewall tires for a period-perfect vibe. Finish it the way youd want and youll be years and thousands of dollars ahead. A cool traditional rod ready to go to the next level. Call today! |
