Ford Three Window Coupe. HistoryIn 2007, I bought this car as a roller and all its original parts from Mark Dolin in Yuba City, CA. His Dad had bought it in the 1970s, and did a few partial restorations. It was the love of the family. There are even videos of Marks dad showing the fenders off, how great they are and explaining the 1934 Ford Three Window Coupe.I began a highly detailed, nut and bolt, full stock restoration on the coupe. In 2009, a collector friend of mine, Herb Wetanson of New York, heard of the car, and just had to have it in his extensive collection. He bought the car from me, and then changed the direction of the build. He wanted more of a hot rod style, rather than the all stock look. I completed it in March, 2010 and it came out fantastic. It has been in Herbs collection in South Hampton, NY ever since, never been for public sale until now. He says he doubts the odometer shows 50 miles.ExteriorThe sheet metal on this Three Window is the best I have ever seen. I hired Jesse Cruz, (who worked for Don Orosco) to paint it a deep mirror black, and if you know Jesses work you know it is of the highest quality. Proper pin striping by Frank Signs, Sand City, CA, added brand new bigs and littles, and the full set of 17 Kelsey Hayes red rims with brand new Firestone Deluxe Champion tires are included with the car. The original grille and bumpers are rechromed, has rumble seat by LeBaron Bonney. Has a real Franklin greyhound radiator cap.MechanicsThe stock 34 motor was rebuilt by Stan Vermiel, rebuilt 34 transmission, and a fully working Columbia two speed rear end. We added dual exhaust with cherry bombs, full juice brake set up from Early V8 Garage in Covina, CA. Dropped the axle by Tim Cunha. InteriorFull LeBaron Bonney Bedford Cord interior kit was installed, I did the Woodgraining, zeroed the speedo, all gauges work, super clean and comfortable. Has Ford script mirror clock, and glove box radio, Worlds Fair gear shift knob.OtherSold as-is, where is, no warranty. A contract will be drawn up for the actual sale transaction. Buyer is responsible for cost of transport. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. CA plate not included.
