How about one with a choice chassis a heavily massaged body and a 425 horsepower Hemi? If the answer is a resounding YES this 1937 Ford Coupe is exactly what youve been searching for! Featuring a traditionally clean appearance a custom leather interior and a level of detail that requires multiple looks to fully comprehend this SEMA-featured street rod is a top notch compilation of first class components. And whats better: its a fully sorted professionally finished cruiser that was built to parade with the best. If youre a fashionable enthusiast who wants an impressive classic thatll turn heads and drop jaws take a close look at this stunning Ford! BODYWORK/TRIM Assembled from the ground up to be a SEMA show-stopper this coupes solid fuselage began life as high quality Minotti fiberglass that was smoothed filled and chopped by Joe Stuben and Nashville Tennessees Greening Auto Company. Once sinuous and ready to roll that resin was coated in glossy Burgundy 2-stage that lends the car a timeless sophisticated presence. And in May of 2012 this Ford rolled right out of the shop and straight to Classic Auto Appraiser on its way to being valued at $285K. The beauty of a well-done custom is often found in the simplicity of its execution. In a nod to the hobbys old school hot rodding roots the best cars are usually topped with a stripped down all-business body that emphasizes their purpose-built high performance nature. So when you craft a first class offering like this sweet 37 Ford the best thing to do is simply enhance whats already there. Our enhancements begin with flowing fiberglass fenders which center a custom Alumicraft grille between modern Porsche headlights that are finished with CNC-cut surrounds. Behind that grille a smoothed and dropped hood anchors a custom curved and raked windshield in front of a tinted greenhouse thats capped by a 4-inch chopped roof. Below that glass smoothed running boards frame shaved suicide doors that are actuated by small solenoids. Behind those boards a shaved decklid reflects a monochromatic Ford emblem and classy LED taillights. And that buttery profile is highlighted by roughly $11K of plating and polishing work that includes small mirrors stainless profile lines and traditional tail lamp bezels. ENGINE In the auto enthusiast world there are few bigger faux pas than something that promises performance but doesnt deliver. It looks fast just doesnt cut it with real car guys so the old school flathead that might traditionally power this coupe has officially been swapped for 6.1 liters of Chryslers third generation Hemi. Utilizing aluminum construction variable cam timing and increased-flow heads the balanced and blueprinted mill sourced from Street andamp; Performance is conservatively rated at 425 horsepower. At the center of the cars smoothed and filled firewall a polished intake looks excellent between polished valve covers and smooth Burgundy coil covers. A conical air filter combines with a Street andamp; Performance throttle body to feed factory-spec internals. Theres a custom color-keyed radiator that rides between an efficient puller fan and a polished expansion tank. Custom wiring combines with trick dipsticks a small Kandamp;N breather Redhorse Performance hoses and a polished alternator to add both form and function. And with |
