Details: This incredible original 1939 Ford V8 Deluxe Fordor Sedan was one-collector-owned for nearly a half-century. It has been meticulously maintained, pampered and garage-kept its entire 68,300 mile life. The factory Folkestone Gray paint is largely original with only a few very minor touch-ups over the years. The chrome, trim and rubber are original, as is the factory-original glass, which has the Ford logo in the corner of each window.

The interior is simply spectacular. The Ford factory mohair upholstery is soft, bright and in mint condition. The seat cushions are firm with no sags, tears or damage. This car has never been subjected to moisture, so there are no signs of discoloration, stains or musty smell. The front rubber floor mat and rear carpet are also like-new. The deluxe woodgrained dashboard and window moldings are original, unrestored and appear as-new. All gauges work. Optioned with working heater/defroster. Glove box door clock. Original spare tire and factory tool kit with bag. Original trunk mat and running board mats. Please see photos.

Mechanically, this Ford is exceptional. The original V8 engine runs whisper-quiet with plenty of power. No smoke, noises, leaks or issues. Please see video. It has always been mechanically maintained but retains all of its original factory components and finish under the hood. The undercarriage is clean and rust-free. I have personally driven this car and must say it is the finest Ford V8 I have ever driven. I cannot imagine it being any better when it was new, 78 years ago. It starts easily, idles silently, and jumps to life when the accelerator is pressed. The transmission shifts easily and quietly in all gears. The first-year Ford 4-wheel hydraulic brakes stop the car smooth and straight. Newer Ford script whitewall bias-ply tires wrap the original wheels.

This car has been shown and judged at top shows over the last 50 years. It is a consistent prize winner and would be welcome in preservation-class showings anywhere. In judging by the Early Ford V8 Club it received 961 out of 1000 points, winning a Dearborn Award for excellence. The many trophies garnered by this car will be included to the winning bidder.

It is hard to over-emphasize its condition and quality. The saying Theyre only original once really is true in this case. It cannot be duplicated by any restored car at any price.

WE WILL HAPPILY SELL TO BUYERS WORLDWIDE.
