| Details: | 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe. Garaged in Oak Cliff, TX from at least 1965 until we bought it in 1997, and in Iowa since 1997. Original TX title in hand, as well as current Iowa title. Last titled in TX in 1956 (see DPS inspection sticker on windshield). Powered by a 1952 mercury 255 flathead, standard bore, not rebuilt. New water pumps and Reds headers. Dual point conversion on original distributor. 8RT intake and carburetor. Aluminum flywheel with new clutch. Rebuilt 78 case top loader transmission. Columbia 2 speed rear. New master cylinder, new brake shoes, new wheel cylinders, new flex hoses and steel lines with DTO 5 fluid. New park brake cables. Vehicle comes with new vintage Ford wiring harness (new wire, cloth covered style) still in the packages, and a good used reproduction center grille section not shown in the photos. All trim missing in the photos is also included. Several boxes of small parts, lock cylinders, glove box latch, etc. Except for the wheels and interior I would say the car is 99% complete. |
