This beautifully restored 1940 Ford Deluxe Convertible is an original owner antique vehicle. It was restored in 1999 and again in 2016 (new brake cylinders on all four wheels, new master brake cylinder, new brake lines, cleaned and rebuilt carburetor, replaced water pump, replaced starter, replaced battery) and has been driven sparingly since then. Engine is flat head V8 221 CID producing 85 HP and was replaced at some point in the 1950s. Seats reupholstered and in excellent condition. The dash has been redone and is in very good condition. The gauges are original and show appropriate aging. Tires are Goodyear Bias Ply 6.00-16 4 ply with wide white walls, mounted on steel painted rims with center hubcaps and trim rings. Hubcaps original with some dents. The convertible top was replaced in early 1960s and is in good condition with some interior spots. Auto appraised in September 2014. Appraisal available for inspection upon request. This beautiful car has been a well-cared member of the family and has fewer than 100,000 miles. We are looking for serious buyers only.
