This auto is a 1941 Chevrolet Coupe Special Edition. It has approx. 28,300 original miles. The car was purchased by a farmer and his wife in 1941. Basically, it was a church car that was driven only on Sundays. The man died in 1962 and the car was left in the barn until we discovered it in 2008. The 1962 registration remains on the windshield and the 1962 license plates are in the trunk. During repair, all possible original pieces were left in place, notably the engine. Those parts that were replacedspark plug caps, battery cables are in the trunk of the car. We towed the car, put it on the back of a truck, and brought to Taos, New Mexico, where the humidity is low. The car has been driven very little around the town of Taos and perhaps 50 miles, at most, have been put on the car since it was purchased and repaired. It remains in excellent driving condition. The exterior of the car is black and could be judged to be in very good to excellent condition. The interior of the car is original. The seats are the original mohair and have lost some of the fibers. Neither the radio nor the clock function properly. A second fuel gauge was added because the first was not operating properly. The inside lining of the car is stained and has a hole in the ceiling at the rear passenger area of the drivers side. The spare tire is the original tire from the time of the purchase of the car. The lining of the trunk has slightly separated from the wall on the passenger side.
