The Chevrolet Special Deluxe was introduced late in the 1941 model year with a completely new body that had concealed safety steps instead of running boards as well as headlamps that were incorporated into the fenders. This particular example was converted to a world class street rod for Yogi of Yogis Inc. and was completed in 2008. Yogi had this car built for him personally with the best of everything available at the time. The heart of this beauty is a ZZ4 350 ci V8 crate engine with an Enduro Shine carb and intake that sounds awesome ripping through its Magnaflow performance exhaust. It was also fitted with a new Turbo 350 performance built tranny and a 9 inch posi rear end with 308 gears. You will also find Wilwood front disc brakes with slotted and drilled rotors as well as adjustable front shocks. The flawless body has shaved door handles, a shaved trunk and looks awesome with its gorgeous Torch Red paint and sweet old school flames. The new NOS 1941 grill, tinted windows and American Racing polished rims add the finishing touches to the exterior. It has an absolutely gorgeous tan leather interior with matching trunk that has been fitted with all the latest creature comforts such as AC, tilt steering, power steering, power brakes, power windows, power seats as well as a complete sound system. You will also appreciate the Auto Meter gauges and the electric wipers. This Street Rod was completed 8 years ago and been driven just over 10,000 miles since. In 2011 it was inspected by the NSRA who gave it a Vehicle Safety Inspection Certification. To build a car of this quality would cost at least twice what we are asking and would take years to complete. This one is ready to go and just needs a new home!
