1946 Ford Super Deluxe Convertible Burgundy with tan top and tan cloth interior.Just pulled out of a garage after being in storage since 1993. Car had a complete restoration in 1991-92 and the owner passed away a few months after it was finished. We purchased the car from the son of the man who had it restored.
Car has a flathead V8, 3-Speed transmission on the column,All of the lights work properly, Wipers work, All of the gauges work properly (with the exception of the temperature gauge that sometimes reads HOT, but it does not over heat, it is just an issue with the gauge or possibly with the sending unit), Will sit and idle nicely all day, Turn signals work, Good tires.
We do have a front bumper with bumper guards for the car, but it is not in very nice condition and we havent been able to locate another. The car is also missing a drivers side window garnish molding that goes at the inside top of the drivers door. The car could use a new rear carpet and the radio restored to working condition. The following is a list of mechanical items that have been done to the car over the last 3 months (totaling more than $6,500) since we pulled it out of the garage: - Gas tank drained
- Gas tank cleaned
- New sending unit
- Fuel lines flushed
- New vacuum fuel pump
- Carburetor rebuilt
- Generator rebuilt
- New voltage regulator
