This very rare Big Boy 1946 Hudson Series 58 Commercial 3/4 ton Pickup is a southern truck that had a frame off restoration. It is a rust free truck that was bought new in TX and moved to AZ in 1967. This pickup was powered by the numbers matching Hudson long-stroke (76.2-mm bore, 127-mm stroke) side-valve Super Six engine that featured a chrome alloy cylinder block. With a displacement of 3.5 litres, it developed 102 horsepower. Its three-speed manual transmission was column-shifted when other trucks still used a floor-shift. Also these trucks had independent front suspension as others were straight axles. The Hudson pickup was fitted with a cavernous 8ft cargo box giving it 48 cubic feet of cargo volume. It comes with the Weather Master Heater, AM radio with foot controller, oil bath air cleaner, sun visor, and the Hudson tissue dispenser. The top to bottom restoration had all the mechanicals were replaced or restored to original condition. The wood cargo bed was replaced with Ash. The wheels are Kelsey Hayes spoked wheels with wide white walls. Not many of these rare trucks are left that are original.
