This is one of the finest 1949 Cadillac convertibles you will ever see. It has received an extensive nut and bolt frame off restoration with no expense spared. The build began with an excellent convertible not a junk yard car or a patched up cruiser but a very nice original local show quality car. As you can see from the pictures the car was completely disassembled where every piece could be perfected. We have hundreds of photos of the restoration from start to finish. The original chassis has been sub-framed with a torsion bar front suspension from a Buick Fifth Avenue for a better ride quality and also allows the car to now have power steering and power disc brakes. The rear suspension is made up of custom leaf springs with adjustable air shocks that can be controlled from in the car. The new drive train came completely ready to drop in from Street and Performance and consist of a new LT4 fuel injected 5.7L V8 with aluminum heads and all the chrome and polish goodies from Street and Performance and a 4L60E automatic overdrive transmission.
