1949 Ford Custom 2 door sedan. This car has been meticulously restored. The engine is a 255CID Flathead completely rebuilt and includes Edelbrock Aluminum Heads, Polished Headers and Chrome details. The transmission is a rebuilt vintage 3 speed overdrive (that when engaged reduces the RPM by 20% at high speeds). The body has been completely stripped and has had rust replaced with new body panels. Significant attention has been given to getting the body line and gaps in many cases better than the original factory. A high quality basecoat/clearcoat Indigo Blue paint job makes this car standout well beyond most Shoebox Fords. Almost every piece of chrome has been redone or replaced with new. The interior has been completely redone in pleated charcoal gray tweed cloth bordered with a light gray vinyl and a complimenting gray rug and headliner. The car reflects a mild East Coast Custom with visor, spots, lake pipes, wide whites, full Ford wheel covers and a period correct Continental kit. Windshield and side glass replaced with a mild tint to deal with bright sunny days. This car is a long way beyond the average 1949!!!
