1949 Plymouth P18 Special Deluxe Woody Wagon. Very rare, only 3,443 of these were ever produced. Youll probably never see one of these at your local car show! The current owner bought this from a woman in Massachusetts whose husband passed away. Unfortunately, the car was in pieces totaling over 40 boxes worth of parts. The car was apart for approximately 15 years! The current owner who lived in upstate New York at the time, purchased it in July of 1981 and spent the next 4 years putting this classic back together. The 46,573 miles are original and the 217.8 cu. in. L-Head six cylinder engine has never been apart. It starts right up and idles smooth as silk. The three speed manual transmission shifts perfectly with no issues. The paint is a single stage acrylic enamel which still looks very nice. The interior is all original and still looks nice. The third row seat is available, it just wasnt installed at the time of photographing. All of the glass, chrome and trim are in very good condition. The wood was all sanded down and refinished back in 1985. It still looks great. All of the body panels are original and there is no body filler. The car was very solid from top to bottom when purchased back in 1981. All of the lights, gauges, horn, even the spotlight still work. The fog lights are correct for the car, but they have not been hooked up yet. The radio works most of the time. The owner thinks the antenna connection needs attention. The tires are farely new and were purchased from Coker Tire. The owner has a new windshield and new rubber weather stripping that will go with the car as well. The canoe was hand made by the current owner and will also be included! It is beautiful....This is an extremely rare car and the values are just going to go up. This Plymouth is in a very nice Driver Quality condition. Very mechanically solid and very dependable.
