1954 Chevrolet Custom The classic 1954 Chevrolet was the final year of this body style with a huge change for Chevy coming in later models. You can easily see the influence the car had on the 55 that was to be designed next as it has a more boxed look with a flatter nose then previous years. This very cool 1954 Chevrolet takes that classic vintage look and adds a certain toughness to it. It is definitely more of a hot rod than the typical boring cruisers you see. Painted in a Black and Red color combo this classic looks great driving down the road. The car was just gone through 750 miles ago with the body, drivetrain and the interior being redone. The chrome work is all in great condition with a custom bumper found in the rear. The correct Chevrolet badging is found on the hood but look close and you will see the deck lid and doors have been shaved of any trim. This gives it a pretty cool look and gives you the perfect canvas should you want to add pinstriping or graphics to the trunk lid. Because the door handles were removed, remote door poppers open up the front doors giving you access to the interior. Another really cool custom feature is the suicide rear doors that were extremely well done. This echos the style of 4 door Mercurys and other classics that had factory rear suicide doors. If someone didnt know this wasnt offered on the car then you could easily fool them by how well it was customized. All of the glass on the car has been accented with a nice tint that works well with the Black paint. It has a great stance and mounted on all four corners are Red Corvette rally wheels wrapped with BF Goodrich tires. Under the hood is a fresh 350 V8 that was brand new when installed. It was built up with a slight cam and performs very well. It has a look that is cross between new age custom and old school. Newer style billet and chrome is in place with features like cool flex hoses, Chevrolet valve covers, that all look great. The old school comes in with the 3, 2 barrel Rochester carburetors sitting on top with small chrome circle air cleaners. Other nice components found under the hood include the chrome power brake booster, March serpentine belt system, and after market radiator. The car has an AWESOME sound especially with the added electronically operated cutouts giving you the option to route the exhaust through muffles or straight from the headers. Backing up the engine is a new 700R4 automatic transmission that shifts smoothly and sends power back to the rear wheels through the 4:11 rear end. The suspension system on the car was very nicely done with adjustable coil overs and a Fatman front suspension up front. The car is very comfortable to drive. To go with the power brake booster, Wilwood discs were added up front. This a long with power steering makes this car very enjoyable. The interior of the car utilizes leather bench seats with Red upholstery and carpeting that is all new. The dash has been finished out and is nicely painted Red with beautiful chrome trim. Nostalgic style Classic Instruments gauges make the perfect combination for the unique billet bezels and a tachometer was added as well. An Ididit tilt steering column is in place and is topped off with a polished GT Grant steering wheel. A Lokar shifter is mounted to the floor board and clicks through the gears with ease. The door panels were redone as was the headliner, package tray and trunk. The car was offered up for sale previously with an incomplete interior but now the only thing it lacks is a finished out AC system. Everything has been plummed and ready to go so even that isnt going to be hardly any work at all. Dynamat insulation was added throughout prior to the interior being installed. The battery was remotely mounted in the trunk and sits in a very cool custom Coca Cola battery box. This is a great looking classic that is ready to be shown and enjoyed. It has a lot of curb appeal and runs down the road well. Get cruising in this very cool custom
