Details: This is a pristine 1954 Jaguar XK120 OTS Roadster with only 8,169 original and documented miles on the odometer. The car is finished in her original color scheme of English White with a superb and complementary Red leather interior with a Black Canvas convertible top and Tornneau cover, Overall this car is stunning and will make a coveted addition to any collectors garage.

This 1954 Jaguar XK120 OTS was among the last built and has a flat steering hub and curved e-brake handle, unique to those last cars. We have records from the mid-Eighties maintained by a long-term owner who used it very sparingly and often recorded the mileage when he did; he was not the original owner, as Jaguar Archives show the original purchase by an Army major. In early 1993 he gave it to his daughter as a wedding present, certifying 3,500 original miles on the title. She sold it to the present owner in mid-2005 with 5,015 miles certified and the car has been driven approximately 3,000 miles in the last eleven years. As you would expect, the car has always been properly prepared for storage periods.

This car is in excellent condition throughout, having been conscientiously maintained - she has a very strong 3.4 litre engine coupled to her 4 speed manual transmission and is a delight to drive with excellent handling at all speeds. The metal, finish, interior, engine bay and underside are in excellent condition. At one point the long-term owner felt that a red underside would be an attractive and unique change, so the body was removed and painted accordingly. The present owner has updated that finish as necessary (freshly repainted underside of the hood and of all body tub metal in the interior, when it was replaced). The seats themselves as well as upholstery have been replaced, as well as all surfaces behind the seats and the liner of the trunk lid, by OSJI. The top is new and has hung in the present ownerandrsquo;s garage since purchase, ensuring that it has no fold marks, creases or tears. The side curtains are also new, and the full tonneau cover has the proper leather fittings front and rear. All brightwork has been removed and refinished and is in excellent condition. A custom cover is lined in flannel.

Many engine components have been replaced as needed of course, and a stainless exhaust and aluminum fuel tank have replaced the originals. The front brakes have been fitted with stainless steel sleeves and stainless steel pistons and the new Avon radial tires have only a few thousand miles on them. The same British auto specialist has maintained the car for over 40 years.

Low, Curved and Exciting, the bodywork of the XK Series created a sensation when announced in 1948. The engine - a six cylinder - rivaled the big American V8s of the time. Jaguar was center stage at the Winners Circle taking several Le Mans victories. More expensive ($4,500 cost) than their British rivals, MG, Triumph, Austin Healey and Lotus, the Jaguar sold very well due to style, performance and on-track prowess. You can be sure that when taken out for special occasions, this car will get more than her fair share of attention.

If you are a serious Jaguar collector or if this is the time for you to acquire your first classic Jaguar, then this is a car that you can not afford to let pass you by. Financing Available on Request.
