This smooth 55 is no different that anything else Performance Restorations built over the yearsand#44; visually stunningand#44; custom craftsmanship and engineered to perform on the street. Performance Restoration went full-tilt on the envelopeand#44; from the airbrushed â??56 side moldings to the candyand#44; pearland#44; and pixie dust in the paint. Brieflyand#44; Performance rubbed the body smoothand#44; shaved the door handlesand#44; flush-mounted the front turn signals using â??57 backup lightsand#44; removed all side moldingand#44; reworked the hood so that it opens back to frontand#44; installed a billet grille and custom taillightsand#44; reshaped the bumpers for tighter fitand#44; smoothed the firewall and transmission tunneland#44; incorporated a gas-fill similar to the â??56 Chevy (hidden behind taillight)and#44; and handbuilt inner fenders and custom radiator shroud.
