Details: As long as theres gasoline in the pumpsand#44; people are going to drive Shoebox Chevys. This 1955 Chevrolet 150 2-door sedanand#44; with its recent buildand#44; invites you out on to the open road and any place car guys gather to compare hardwareand#44; this car will be very welcome.

Finished in the mid-2000sand#44; this bright Corvette Yellow 150 has a very high-intensity lookand#44; making it the kind of car that always seems to attract a lot of attention at shows. The 150 has a simpler look than the Bel Air and there are plenty of guys who will appreciate its more minimalist attitude. That doesnt mean plainand#44; and you can clearly see in the photos that this car is neatly finished with a lot of hours invested in the final paint joband#44; although it does have a few signs of use since it was finished. The body fits together welland#44; the gaps are good all aroundand#44; and nothing has been modified or shaved. Thats good news for fans of the 50sand#44; because all the bright stainless trim and super sharp chrome details are 100% intact and wonderfully restored. The Chevrolet script is super crispand#44; the side trim has checkerboard-style inserts that forecast the coming 60s lookand#44; and the California-style 1-piece bumpers have a great shine that really dress it up.

The slick black interior has a 1950s vibe with a bit of an edge. The original bench is still in place and the stitching replicates the factory stylingand#44; but the materials and all the highly polished details give it a more custom look. There arent many dashboards more attractive than the 55 Chevysand#44; so that was retained and restoredand#44; complete with the shiny band of metal trim that runs from end to end. The original steering wheel was replaced with a more modern 3-spoke unitand#44; and a set of auxiliary gauges was installed in addition to the factory dials. Theres a Lokar shifter on the floor which gives it an old school custom feel and you can hang your hand on it while you go cruising and the carpets around it are new. The original AM radio is still in the dash so it has an appropriate 1950s lookand#44; although its no longer functional. The trunk is also cleanly finished with a black rubber matand#44; as original.

Of course you already knew that youd find a small block Chevy under the hoodand#44; a 350 cubic incher in this case. Dripping with chrome and Chevy Orange paintand#44; it looks every bit as great as it runs and you wont have to think twice about opening the hood at a show. Theres nothing radicaland#44; just a proven reliable combination that features an Edelbrock intake manifoldand#44; Holley carburetorand#44; and HEI ignition system. Long-tube headers dump into a custom dual exhaust systemand#44; and a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission drives the original rear end. A fairly stock suspension means it rides and handles well enough to drive cross-countryand#44; although it has been upgraded with power front disc brakes for safety. Camaro SS wheels look cool and are finished with 205/75/15 blackwallsand#44; which are a great contrast to the bright bodywork.

Theres a reason these cars remain perennial best-sellers year after yearand#44; and this is a great entry-level example thatll make you a proud owner for years to come. Call today!
