1955 Ford Fairlane Race Car This car was an old dirt racer when I bought it. It had a home made roll cage in it. I took the car down to Mooresville NC and had a Nascar chassis put under the body then bought a used Nascar cup 800 hp Roush engine and hooked it up Jerico road racing 4 speed transmission. It has all the best stuff in it. It is set up to run SCCA road courses and runs in a class called SPO with the GT-1 but can run with the vintage Corvettes, XKEs and Ferraris. I attached pictures of it in last years DC Auto Show and a Rod and Custom show. I also attached a video of my car at Daytona Speedway that was filmed from a GT-2 Porsche. This car is all metal with stock bumpers, grill and tail lights. It weighs 3400bls with me in it . I weigh about 175bls. I have raced it for 5 years and the worst finish I have had is 4th. Last race track I ran it was Summit Point West Virginia. The track is a 2.5 miles circuit and my best lap was 1.20 which ant bad for 67 year an old man.
