One of the most elegant designs to come out of Browns Lane, the ancestral home of Jaguar, the XK140 answered a call for a longer cockpit on its superlative predecessor, the XK120, to accommodate taller drivers. The accompanying slight increase in weight was easily offset by increases in power and braking ability. Additionally, rack andamp; pinion steering and telescopic shock absorbers improved the already superb handling. As one of only 3,276 examples built, this graceful, numbers-matching roadster is as rare as it is gorgeous. With just one Los Angeles owner since 1978, it still retains its early California plates and small pink title. Finished in Cotswold Blue with Black leather, it has covered less than a thousand miles since undergoing a full cosmetic and mechanical restoration.
