Pontiac Star Chief. 2 Door Hardtop.
This is one of the most original examples of this car that you will ever find. This is absolutely complete and is a running driving car that you can enjoy from day one.We cannot guarantee that this is the original mileage but by everything we can see including the lub information on the door we do believe that this is an original 52000 mile car.
The car is equipped with Pontiacs first V8 which is 287cu Strato Streak and has 180hp.Quite a package for the day.The engine starts with just a touch to the key and runs strong every time. This is a very comfortable cruiser with the Slant pan, Dual Range, Hydro Matic transmission.Drive anywhere in style and comfort.
This car came with the 272 Trim package which was Ivory and copper leather. The interior was re done recently and looks very correct and is very comfortable.
The car sports most of its original paint which was #61 Firebird and White Mist, and the iconic headliner with the chrome trim bows just sets this car off and screams 1950s.
The car is a 28 series which was the longer 183.5 wheel base version and is another reason for its great cruise-ability.
The car was built in South Gate, Ca. and has spent its life in California as evidenced by the excellent condition and the original black license plates.
If you are looking for a car to just jump in and enjoy or as a basis for a full or partial restoration candidate, then this is your car.The only thing that we can find that is missing is the small trim piece that ia bout 1 long between the passenger side taillight and a broken on the dash. That my friend is what I call 99%+ complete.
Cars this original and complete just dont come along that often.
Anyone can find a tri five chevy but how many 1955 Pontiacs, especially Star Chiefs can you find.Dont be part of the pack, drive something much more satisfying and elegant.
