Chevy Cameo Pickup. Up for sale is this 1956 chevy cameo pickup truck done up in the original colors of india ivory and cardinal red. This is an unfinished amateur restoration. This completed project will make for a very nice driver quality classic truck. This was originally a 265 cu in v8 with an automatic transmission. It now has an excellent running 350 cu in with a 700r4 transmission. It also comes with a 1956 265 cu in power pack rebuildable engine, but it currently has a slight knock. This is not the original engine to the truck. The differential is stock. The major items needed in order to finish this restoration to the point of being in good driveable condition are all new glass and interior. The steering box needs to be replaced or reconditioned (serious amount of steering play). The tail gate emblem and the fender emblems are in bad condition and will need to be replaced. The holes for the fender emblems have been filled. The pot metal has been restored to perfection. The grill and front bumper are in great condition.I have several photos available for email.
