This Thunderbird, VIN # P6FH245952, was produced on March 16, 1956 at the Ford Dearborn factory. Painted in Thunderbird Colonial White, it was optioned with the 312 c.i. V8 engine mated to the Fordomatic automatic transmission. It was also optioned with a 4-way power seat and power windows, power steering, radio, heater/defroster, tachometer and clock, plus both soft top and matching white porthole hardtop.

While the early history of the car is unknown, it was acquired some years ago by a noted Thunderbird collector in the Northwest who set out on a full, high quality restoration. The rust-free body was removed from the frame and fully repainted. All chrome was re-plated and the interior was replaced in correct black and white vinyl. New radial tires were fitted to the chrome wire wheels. 12 volt electrical. An AM/FM/Cassette Stereo was installed, along with AIR CONDITIONING. This is a beautiful and very correct appearing Bird. Please see photos, which were just taken for this listing.

The V8 engine was also rebuilt and has seen limited use since completion. It runs smoothly with no smoke or other issues. Please see video of engine running. I have personally driven this car and it runs and operates without fault. Rated at 225 HP, it really moves! It shifts well, has plenty of power and the brakes are good. Power windows and seat operate as they should. The only option not working is the clock. The air conditioning works perfectly and blows ice cold. If you are looking for a beautifully restored, air conditioned Thunderbird for show or go, this is a good one.
