Chevy Bel Air Sport Coupe. Owned since 1985. It was the most solid unmolested car I had seen in a long time. It had old lacquer paint which needed to be redone. Things progressed from there and the next thing I knew it was off the frame. I had read about the work Street and Performance was doing with Tuned-Port fuel injection and bought a new ZZZ engine and polished Tuned-Port system. Every nut, bolt, screw, washer, bearing, bushing, and suspension component was replaced. The stainless trim was straightened and polished. The chrome was refinished by Qual-Chrome. The Sikkens paint rep was with us when the Guards Red finish was applied. We installed power disk brakes, a 605 power steering box, an Air-tique a/c unit, leather and tweed interior, Mercedes carpeting, and Billet Specialties wheels. The plaque it was awarded its first time shown. It scored a 991 out of 1000 possible points. It can be bought for far, far less than was spent to build it. Im 75 years old and have pretty much lost interest in the old cars, so I am going to sell off the three that dont get any attention. Contact me for information and more pictures. |
