1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 door hard top. 6000 miles since frame-off restoration in 2009. All body panels including the floor are original. This is a St. Louis car.This car is straight, straight, straight and fast. All gaps are spot on. This car was picked by a local body shop for an award by having the straightest body at a car show with 250 cars. The paint is Dupont Red Hot Meltdown. All chrome is new and stainless polished. The wheels are 16 inch American Racing Torque Thrust. The engine is a LS2 with LS3 heads, intake , injectors and a Comp cam. To cool the beast is a Griffin radiator with dual fans. The transmission is a 4L65e with a 3000 rpm torque converter. Forced ram air feeds the engine through the air dam above the headlight. A Fat Man front clip was grafted on the original frame. That includes stainless steel tubular arms, QA1 adjustable coil overs, rack and pinion steering and 4 wheel disc brakes operated by a hydroboost booster (excellent brakes). The rear end is a Ford 9 inch with 3.70 gears and Strange axles and QA1 adjustable shocks. Vintage Air for air/heat, Classic Instruments for gauges, BandM floor shifter, Interior kit from Cars Inc is standard 57 Chevy with red man-made leather (instead of vinyl)-much softer than vinyl.
