1957 Chevrolet 2 Door Hardtop The 1957 Chevrolet BelAir. By name alone even those not involved with the classic car community can instantly picture the car you are talking about. That just goes to show the popularity that these cars truly have. Whether you are looking for a car to invest in or just one to enjoy, you really cant go wrong with a 57 Chevy. There are many different levels of these cars out there from the original survivor, to the restored, the projects, restomods and show cars but something about this 57 sure stands out. It falls more into the custom restomod class and when you start looking close there is no doubting the quality of the build. It is an extremely solid car that was built up to not only look great but perform as well. This is more than just your weekend show car. It could easily handle long trips or anything you throw at it and with only 758 miles since completion it has a long life ahead of it. Painted in a Black metallic paint the car has a beautiful finish with a great shine. The doors, hood and trunk were shaved which pairs perfectly with just the right amount of stainless and chrome to create a classy but extremely tough looking exterior. One glance at the look and stance of the car lets you know it means business. The original side mirrors were replaced with more modern aftermarket mirrors that have been painted to match the body and little details like this really make the car stand out. Another subtle customization include the spears on the hood which were custom made for the car and sit in the original housing which has been pointed. Under all four corners are Boyd Coddington wheels with 17s up front and 20s in rear which tuck nicely underneath the tubbed fenders. A new ZZ4 350 small block with 700R4 transmission was installed and utilizes a dual four barrel Edelbrock intake. Billet and chrome components were used throughout with finned Edelbrock valve covers and a matching air cleaner. Everything under the hood was very nicely done including the custom aluminum radiator support to hold the Be Cool aluminum radiator system. The car has a sound that matches the look due to the dual ceramic coated exhaust with Flowmasters routed to the rear of the car with square tips that dump right underneath the rear bumper. The exhaust was routed through the frame and the look underneath the car is another indicator of the quality. The custom powder coated frame, 9 Ford 3.73 positrac rear end and a majority of the components were done in Silver with everything underneath having a nice finished appearance. Baer disc brakes were added in front/read and are power assisted which combined with the power rack and pinion make it a very smooth car to drive. Electric wipers and the Vintage AC system are other modern comforts that were put into place. The interior of the car is custom as well and done in Black leather with Silver inserts. The seats are very comfortable and up front there is a fold down center arm rest. A tall Lokar shifter rises from the floorboard and moves through the gears with ease. The dash is painted Black and fitted with aftermarket Billet trim. White faced Classic Instrument gauges sit in the original style gauge cluster and really dress up the dash nicely. A polished tilt steering column was also added with a custom steering wheel up top. Billet pedals, chrome power window controls and billet handles are other customizations but with all that was done to the car we are sure we something was left out. The trunk of the car is nicely upholstered as well and houses a custom battery box for the Optima Battery. This car runs extremely well and has that look that so many are trying to achieve with the pro touring trend. It is sure to stand out in a line of 57s and the quality of build is something that not just anybody could do. It wins awards wherever it goes and always draws a crowd. Make this one of a kind 57 yours for $137,500.00!
