This is a genuine 60s straight front axle Gasser. No longer a race car, this car is street legal and recently registered in California. It has mufflers, lights and turn signals. Features a small block with a 6-71 blower with dual Holley carbs. Behind the engine is a Turbo 400 trans hooked up to a Ford 9 in that is held in place with adjustable coil-over springs, attached to a stout wheelie bar. Full roll cage, full tilt fiberglass front nose and trunk lid. No history of this vintage race car but verbal history is that it was built in the late 60s and was campaigned at Lions, Irwindale and Orange County drag strips in California. It is claimed that it originally ran with a blown small block and later upgraded to a big block with nitrous oxide (it is plumbed for nitrous). Claimed to regularly run in the 9s. Engine runs strong, and the trans was recently freshened, as well as the carbs. This 57 is a ball to drive. Note: You have been warned: It will certainly get more attention than you may want at the drive-in.
