1957 Ford Thunderbird for sale $69,500

Meticulously restored and correct to the patent plate; panels are straight with very good gaps and paint quality is excellent. All trim and chrome has been refinished and looks better than new. New black canvas convertible top; original factory hard top and full tonneau cover are also included. The undercarriage is clean enough to eat dinner off of and shows as well as the topside (see photos). While the body was off the frame, the frame was powder coated and all body and suspension bushings were renewed. Even the leaf springs were rebuilt with correct fabric dampers between the leaves to eliminate squeaks.

Correct tuxedo interior was restored to the same high standard, with seats, carpet, door panels and dash in like-new condition. Gauges are restored and working properly as are heater controls and original town and country radio.

Under the hood is the correct D-code 312 cubic inch V8 fed by a stock four-barrel carb and mated to a Fordomatic automatic transmission. Highly correct and very nicely detailed under the hood, with all accessories, hoses, etc. in period and with correct part numbers.

Runs and drives as a new car of its era would, and the attention to detail and overall fit and finish are likely better than when it left the factory in Dearborn nearly 60 years ago. Shows to a strong #2 standard. Not pictured but included with the sale are a spare tire, jack and factory hard top (the hard top is in good original, but unrestored, condition).
