| Details: | 1957 MG MGA This car is probably over 90% restored with almost everything included to complete. It has had a frame up restoration with nearly every piece rebuilt, replaced, re-chromed, repainted or powder coated. I have receipts for over $14,000 that has been spent on the car and that does not include everything that has been done or the cost of the car itself. Body paint has been started with a base coat of the original Orient Red color. Some of the body is still in black primer. Also have the piping that goes between the fenders and body that needs installed after final painting/assembly. The only two items I know of that are not as original are the exhaust tip and convertible top color (has new black top included instead of original white). There are also new black interior upholstery panels included, as well as most other parts, fasteners, seals, etc. needed to complete the entire car. The only bigger item I know of that is not included is the frame for the convertible top. The motor has never been started since being professionally rebuilt so that there would be no worry about clogged carburetors, fuel lines, old gas, etc. while being restored. There has never even been gas in the tank yet. The engine and drive train are like new. There is very little work needed to complete this project compared to the extensive work that has already been put into it. There is just enough left to do to be able to say you finished it yourself. This would be a great winter project that could easily be ready to drive in style next spring. The car has a Salvage Title that can be easily converted to a Rebuilt Title when the car is completed. |
