| Details: | 1958 Ford Fairlane 500, 2 Door, Nicely restored, with 332 V-8 4BBL (G Code/265 HP) and 3 speed tranny with factory overdrive. This is a second owner car, purchased from the original owner in 1983 and driven less than 5,000 miles over the last 30 years, now has 29,9xx miles on the odometer. Motor was professionaly rebuilt 3 years ago with hardened valve seats, new rings, bearings and mains, all on standard...motor had very little wear on internals. Transmission is a Borg-Warner T-11 factory OverDrive transmission (OD currently not working due to a faulty solenoid) and rear end is factory 9 inch with 3.56 gearing. The interior is nicely re-upolstered seats/door panels, good headliner and carpet, nice dash in good shape with working gauges. Car had very little rust, but some floorplan areas were replaced, solid trunk and nice quarters. Paint is in nice shape single stage paint and was painted professionally about 6 years ago...it is the correct paint code ER Colonial White over Torch Red and is a brighter red than appears in the pics. Stainless and Chrome as well as trim are all in Good Condition, but not perfect. Car runs/drives fine and is roadworthy, driven weekly to cruise-ins and local car shows...needs some TLC to be perfect. Rare Car, 1 year only with this body and 4 headlights and tailights. |
