1959 Ford F-100 truck. Since acquiring last Spring from the long time owner, we rebuilt the brake system, new brake hoses, shoes, wheel cylinders, new master brake cylinder, master clutch cylinder. The 292 had been rebuilt and is a strong example. New clutch, related bearings, smooth running 4 speed. Gas tank and radiator boiled out. Electric fuel pump. Good tires. Rims and front bumper correctly repainted white. This is a driver. There are some areas of rust that I want to mention. The passenger side door lower hinge is strong and no weakness, but there is rustout below the hinge bracket. There are some areas that need patching on the passenger side floor as well as drivers side floor. These repairs dont show and thus arent as fussy as fixing the top of a fender, etc. There are small holes at the back of the cab down low on each side. This is far from uncommon on this vintage Ford truck. Again, repairs arent as fussy as an exposed sight. The tailgate isnt that great, frame is nice. Windshield has center crack, but I will include a good used windshield. Interior seat frame included if you want to stay stock. This would be a great preservation example of the less common Indian Turquoise paint, or go whatever direction you seek, meanwhile driving the truck. I have a pair of headlight rings-not in photo. Every Ford truck of this era has the classic rear of box lower rot. This isnt so bad, but it is flat steel and is repairable. The drivers side running board has a small hole--saved one from a truck cab I parted out-if you want to replace. Otherwise this is a very decent restoration or usable truck. Back East, value likely double to a collector since so much is badly rusted there.
