1959 Triumph TR3 clear title --- Project Car with running engine! --- purchased this car about a year ago); it was undergoing a complete restoration. The previous owner had owned the car for 13 years; I believe he had bought it from the original owner. Over the years, he has purchased many pieces/parts. This car has had a lot of metal work done. We have numerous receipts from Roadster Factory showing over $1,500 worth of parts purchased (1992) and more recently about $800 last year. All parts were sealed in a dry area and are just like new. Also includes the original Triumph service book. The book is a little worn, but it is original. The car is completely stripped down to bare medal, no hidden spots here !! It has many new panels that have been replaced, please see photos. The frame is very solid. The previous owner did extensive work to the body, including but not limited to: new floors, new rockers inner and outer, new battery box, new inner rear fender supports, one new door jam. There are other new panels included, but have not yet been spot-welded on. We did partially assemble this car for transportation and for photos. Including: setting motor and transmission in, and hanging some sheet metal. The engine and transmission look to be original. The engine number is TS46027E. The engine does turn freely and starts. It has good, even compression, and is complete. The transmission shifts smoothly in all gears. The oil was cleaned, and it looked very clean inside. There are many new parts included with the project; most were purchased from the Roadster Factory. All parts are UK made, including the sheet metal. Parts include but are not limited to: new body mount kit, front bumper, grille, all new weather stripping, chrome beading between fenders and body, numerous nuts, bolts, and gaskets, chrome fender skirts, new sun visors (very nice!), new door handles and trunk handles (with keys), chrome front/rear hinges, and lots of other parts! The car has side windows, convertible top, and a toneau cover that were all recently redone. They all come with after market, custom made bags for storage. The car has its original windshield and frame. The last inspection sticker was from April of 1986. The glass is good. The car has excellent seat and seat frames. They look to be original. The door panels are also very nice! I have taken the time to go through all the parts and sort them out. The only major part I see missing is the radiator, center dash assembly. Please take the time to study all photos well. Many small parts are included in separate labeled bags. This is an excellent project for restoration. These TR3s are becoming harder to come by and more valuable. Dont miss a chance to own a fine piece of British History!!
