There were only 15,500 deVille Convertibles made in 1961. I dont know how many in this color or how many are left on the road, but I have never seen one like this in this color anytime, anyplace. My wife LOVES this Cadillac. She was born in 1961 and doesnt want to sell it, but I need the room for others. This beauty has been in the process of restoration over the past year since I bought it in Palm Springs from a man that owned it for a number of years. Mechanically it was well maintained. He drove it less that 2000 miles in the 9 years that he owned it and it has been driven less than 200 miles since I acquired it. The car has a $5500 professional repaint 6 months ago in the original color. The white top is about 3 years old and looks new. The leather interior is in very nice condition and still smells like new leather. There are no noises in the engine, no smoke and it start right up and runs fine. The exhaust was fitted with flowthrough mufflers when I got it. The original white boot cover comes with the car, and all the power windows have been updated and work well, including the power wind wings. The power seat motor is new, but binds up forward and back. I have the part ordered to fix that. Same with the automatic trunk pull down. That is ordered also. The power antenna works but needs to be integrated with the radio to raise and lower automatically. The factory air conditioning was completely rebuilt for $3,200, has been converted to R-143 and blows cold. The value of this rare classic automobile will continue to rise yearly from now on.
