1961 FORD GALAXIE for sale.Motorcar Classics is pleased to present this 1961 Ford Galaxie featured in Black with Red andamp; White vinyl interior. This early Ford Muscle Car was originally delivered as a 292 CI, 3-speed manual car with radio and heater delete. The car was restored by noted Ford shop, Allen Restorations, in Clarksville, Georgia. In the restoration the car was upgraded as it might have been in period by an enthusiastic in the 60s by installing a 427 CI R-Code V8 with Dual Quads and 4-speed manual transmission with Hurst shifter. In period, a Ford like this, in basic black with Dog Dish hubcaps would have been considered a Sleeper. It has the original interior, and one re-paint in Black, which was the original color. All the sheet metal is factory original. There is reported to be about 2,000 miles on the restoration. The car is fast, sounds great, and is a delight to drive. Additional upgrades include power steering, Vintage AC, rear sway bar, front disc brakes with dual-circuit master cylinder, tachometer and gauges.
