Both vehicles share exactly the same body and trimwith the rear partition window that separates the passenger from the driver on the limo being the only difference. Only the wealthy and government officials would be the ones to own such a vehicle making it a vehicle rarely seen on any street in the U.S. Of only 696 built how many of these vehicles do you think still exist after 55 years? I assume the cost of $9722.00 for a brand new car in 1962 had something to do with the low production. This vehicle will be the most comfortable smooth riding vehicle you can possibly come across. The ride is amazing! This fine example shows under 67,000 original miles and is completely RUST FREE. In fact there was NEVER ANY RUST that formed and this vehicle retains all of its original body panels, engine, transmission, rear end, trim, instrument cluster, bumpers, glass, and anything else you can think of. Completely numbers matching front to back and restored to a beautiful example that I am sure is the finest example for sale in existence. Over $11,000 was just spent this past year on the very high quality leather interior, headliner (cloth), carpet, trim panels, package tray, dash, and complete trunk upholstery. At least 95% of the interior trim and chrome including 100% of the dash is all original and in superb quality. All switches, rear seat clock, andelectrical componentswere removed and examined for the original unrestored condition. Please examine these photos to confirm the absolute new unrestored condition of these electrical components. Please examine the pictures of all the floor boards and notice how beautiful the condition is. The motor as far as I know has never been rebuilt.The 390 cubic inch 325 HP power plantstarts and performs wonderfully as it did 55 years ago. No need for a rebuild for any reason.I had thetransmission rebuilt recently because of a slight hum. Better to be safe. The driveshaft was also balanced because of a slight vibration the car had at 55 MPH. Problem solved. All windows are power and roll up and down perfectly. Everything works as it should as expected. All new black paint wassprayed within the last yearand the rear bumper re-chromed. The hubcaps have been restored and look new. The tires are also brand new and look perfect on this era of a Cadillac. The interior seats 8 unlike any other Cadillac except its sister the limo. The rear seats have factory footrests that flip forward and backward depending on whether or not you want to use them. The rear jump seats also flip up and out of the way when not in use. These jump seats from what I understand were usedby body guards for the diplomats, governments officials, and the wealthy executives that felt protection was a good investment. This car does not share any body panels with any other Cadillac. Its is on its own solidifying the rarity to own one with all its original parts.
