| Details: | 1962 Dodge Dart 440, 3 spd PB auto tranny, 4 Dr Sedan. Showing 55000 mi. with about 7000 mi on overhauled 313 cid V8 Semi Hemi which is running good. The vehicle was retrieved from farmers field with around 48000 showing in 2002 after sitting there since 1974. It was not well preserved in fact quite ugly however the resurrection went quite well and the car has been my regular ride since summer of 2012. The restoration was done by vintage enthusiast who are not professionals so it is not perfect. The running gear, steering, drum breaks, dual Cherry bomb exhaust etc are all recent. No pwr for steering or brakes. There is minor rust, I think the trunk floor is worst. I have added new 15 aluminium wheels and have the original 14 wheels and tires. The heater box control shaft is siezed but system does work. The clock adjusting shaft has broken off. Turn signals are not auto off. There is a Retro Radio installed. I have history since its return to service including original owner info and some pictures as it was being recovered from boon-docks. Ive owned it for last 4 years and drive it regularily, even today. It does need some professional touches but has the potential of a real Classic. Regular service and maintenance all done by pro shops since taking ownership. |
