1962 FORD GALAXIE XL for sale.Motorcar Classics is now selling this fantastic 1962 Ford Galaxie XL Club Victoria featured in black with Red vinyl interior. For 1962 this was the top-of-the-line in Ford performance with the rare optional 406 CI G-Code 405 HP V8 with Tri-Power 3X2bbl high output motor. The car was owned new by a Ford Motor Company stylist who had Ford engineers build the motor on a 406 CI version of a 390 truck block, a common upgrade for added strength. The original block is included with the car. The gearbox was upgraded to a 4-speed Top-Loader from the original T-10. This fabulous high performance Ford was subject to a complete, photo-documented restoration including paint and interior, and it is in show condition. The car runs and drives perfectly.
