Details: 1963 Austin Healey 3000 Mk II BJ7. The car completed a frame off restoration in 2015 by the previous owner. It was repainted the original factoryColorado Red. It is a numbers matching car and the Heritage Certificate is included, along with copies of the original receipts and restoration photos. The car has a 2.9L inline-six paired to a 4-speed transmissionwith electric overdrive operated by a switch on the dashboard. The overdrive works perfectly (as shown in the video). It can happily cruise 70mph in 4th gear with overdrive on at 3000rpm. The car idles well and does not overheat. There is also an auxiliary Hayden electric fan which is operated via a switch mounted under the dash. All of the switches and lights work. We had the Odometer, Tachometer and Fuel Gauges rebuilt and refinished in November by Mo-Ma Manufacturing. The Oil pressure/Temp gauge was replaced during the restoration. The convertible top was replaced during the restoration and is in great shape. The interior trim was replaced completely and refinished in tan. The interior chrome was not replaced, but is very presentable. The trunk received a new liner and houses a newerbattery powering a positive-ground 12-volt electrical system and features a battery shut-off switch. As part of the restoration the 2.9L cast iron inline-six was rebuilt by a Dallas machine shop. Cylinders were bored .030andPrime; over, the crank was ground .010andPrime; on rod andmain journals. A new timing chainrotates a turned and polished camshaft, while new liftersandpushrodsactuate thevalves in the milledand rebuilt cylinder head. The twin SU carburetors were cleaned and rebuilt, thencapped with Coopers pancake air cleaners. A new fuel pump was installed with all new lines. Intake and exhaustmanifolds were cleaned and polished, while the engine block and rocker cover were repainted in Austinmetallic green.New brake andclutch master cylinders were also fitted along with all new brake lines. Please refer to the photos and video. We have not owned the car very long. After the car was purchased, we found another car we had being looking for and we now have more cars than we have spaces.
