Details: 1/63 Atlanta, Georgia plant, Glacier Blue Acrylic Enamel , Falcon Tudor Sedan with 144 CI six and three on the tree. $27K spent on an earlier restoration of a very clean original, with less than 2000 miles on the rebuild. Everything from the rear bumper (exchanged and rechromed), gas tank (replaced) and differential (gasket replaced and refilled) to the steering gear box(rebuilt) to the radiator and heater (recored) was repaired, replaced or refurbished. NOS correct two-tone blue vinyl/fabric upholstery was used on the seats with replacement seat mats. although the original carpet is in extremely good condition. The driveshaft was balanced, U-joints replaced, flywheel resurfaced, clutch replaced, ring gear reversed and the transmission was completely rebuilt, with all new gears and synchros in 2nd and 3rd gear. The original 144 CI engine was bored out .030, crankshaft reground, pistons replaced along with new pushrods, new hydraulic lifters, camshaft, fuel and oil pump, starter,water pump and rebuilt generator and new regulator. Even the valve train assembly was completely replaced with a new unit, including new supports. The original Autolite 1100 was reengineered by ponycarburetors.com and CDI added to prevent difficult hot starting and dying at idle, which was common with the early 144s. A set of points is also included as backup. The distributor was checked for play/trueness,the vacuum advance was replaced with a NOS unit and the unit performance tested. The front end was completely rebuilt with superior Pro-Thane coil spring saddles, replacing the original bronze ones. All of the rubber bushings were replaced on the front end. New shocks all around, along with zerk fittings in ALL of the correct locations, including the upper control arms, were installed. A new master cylinder and brake light sending unit were installed, along with new brake lines, new wheel cylinders, brake shoes and new brake springs. The old fuel line was replaced with a new one, along with a new gas tank sending unit and NOS temp and gas guages. New roller bearings were pressed onto the rear axles and new thrust bearings and races were installed on the front axles, with new whitewall radials all around. The drums were turned and inspected.The shift collar and shifter knob were replaced , and the interior metal panels were repainted the original blue. The kick panels were repainted and replaced. The constant voltage unit was replaced in the dash, as was the glove box liner. All of the instrumentation lights were replaced and the fuse box inspected. The original hybrid 2 tube/one transistor AM radio was cleaned, aligned and had the speaker and antenna replaced. The front window rubber was replaced, although she still has the original headliner ,sunvisors and rear seat shelf. The old undercoating underneath the entire unibody was mechanically stripped and then cleaned with Varsol and Acetone, prior to new rubberized undercoating being applied. Includes original owners manual with unused maintenance coupons, original build sheet, original showroom vent controls placard, many original receipts from the restoration work, plus two notebooks of Falcon reference material. She has current license registration and inspection. A basic tool kit is included in the trunk in a matching bag, along with the correct factory jack and tire with matching cover. New trunk extender boards were installed, along with a new rear seat trunk divider. Also included is a copy of the original shop manual with two extra sets of NOS guages and one set of radiator hoses. All original sheetmetal with very little body filler on a standard Tudor Sedan with the correct convenience group options.
