Details: 1963 Ford Thunderbird Landau The engine is a 300hp 390 cid with Ford autolite 4 barrel carb. The previous owner, a young Marine told me he bought it from a mechanic who claimed to have rebuilt the engine. No actual proof, but the engine runs great. No smoke and doesnt use oil. The transmission runs fine. Has slight fluid leak. Has electric drivers seat, works. Has A/C, does not work. The compressor is seized and outdated for todays type of Freon. The condenser need to be replaced. All the parts are there. Since I owned this car I have done the following: 1. Radiator re-cored. 2. Power brake booster rebuilt. 3. Drive shaft rebuilt, u-joints. 4. Replaced the power steering pump. 5. Replaced the fuel pump. 6. Rebuilt the brakes. 7. Replaced the front sway bar with heavy duty type, including poly bushings. 8. New tires, including spare, less than 500 miles 9. Replaced the entire interior. That consist of carpet, all upholstery, headliner, door panels, center console lid, and arm rests. New dash pad installed. 10. Replaced OEM AM radio with rebuilt OEM AM/FM radio. 11. Replaced factory single exhaust with factory style dual exhaust by Ed Hasons Muffler in Spring Valley. What is not so good: I had it painted to factory color, silver mink, by a body shop in La Presa around 2007. It looked great for about 2 years. Then little cracks started to appear here and there. The cracks got bigger and more of them. Especially on the hood. The owner of body shop also said he would correctly repair the rust bubble behind the left roof line. He lied. I tried to have the hood fixed at another place. They mismatched the color by a country mile and did not repair the problem on the metal surface. They also lied. The San Diego sun was hard on it. It caused the drivers seat upper corner to split the stitching. See photo included. The vinyl top also needs to be replaced.
Analysis: Good Deal, 42.0% below market avg. What's this?
