I saw this 1964 corvette coupe at a local car show, here in Pittsburgh, in 1985. At 300 feet away, it caught my eye. As I walked up to the car, a guy greeted me and proudly said it belonged to him. He began to tell me how he took the vette all apart, completely. He ordered the correct paint for the frame ,inside the hood ,fender wells, interior and body. Had the doors and hood hardware Cadmium Plated. Glass beadedthe intake manifold and since he was a machinest, he rebuilt the engine, rearend assembly and all other components.He actually took the headlight motors apart, sprayed them and assemble them in order to keep the screws silver ! DETAIL ! He replaced all rubber parts ( bushings, weather strips, interior seats and carpets). He painted everything according to GM standards. He used the correct coats of primer, color and lacquer. I asked, what shape was the car in when you bought it?. When he said ,I drove it home, I just found my dream car..327-365HP ,4 speed, solids, matching numbers and above all, NEVER WRECKED..Not even one cracked fender..I had learned the hard way..cant drive em home,,,dont bring em home. I have all receipts including original stock shifter, distributer, carb, clutch, pressure plate,water pump,old light bulbs and car cover. As you can see, the wiring under the hood still has the original wire ties .Stock tires with orignal hubcaps. And,yes, the original KEY. Slightly worn like an old penny The odometer shows the mileage,2,750 since restored. .It had 72,000 miles before restoration. This car is still in perfect condition. It rides quiet, solid and sound. Everything works..interior lights, radio, glove compartment light and ,yes, even the clock.The engine has that unmistakable sound at idle and a growl when you take off. This is a BEAUTIFUL CAR, even to look at in your garage. Im selling because I simply want to move on..The asking price is $85,000..CASH or BANK WIRE, ONLY !
