1964 Ford Thunderbolt tribute car. Started with a rust free 1964 Fairlane 500 white radio delete car. Installed many Crites restoration mods to make it as authentic a tribute as possible including the original type headers with crossover, traction bars welded to the Moser 9 inch nodular case Locker 31 spline rear with 4.10 gears. Shock tower mods, export brace mod, battery relocated to trunk, heavier front coil springs, fiberglass hood and bumper, Gary Ball bucket seats, new carpet, original headliner. Straight car 40+ year old paint (dont think it is original) No significant rust issues. Motor was built from an NOS 427 side-oiler shortblock, new edelbrock heads, intake, new holley carbs, ATI built C-6 transmission with a good converter. 5k miles on drivetrain, and over ten years since build have all reciepts and specs, no issues runs starts and idles great. Took it to the track once years ago have time slip ran 11.98 1/4 mile just as it sits no additional modification day of track run. 15 in drag radials full exhaust system street legal. Not perfect, but very nice, shows a very couple small dings (probably a dent guy could remove them) This is one of the nicest thunderbolt clones (with a real 427 8bbl). Turns heads and draws a crown at any cruise-in car show etc. Right car, color, motor, interior etc.
