Multiple concours winner and winner of the prestigious Historical Vehicle Association This Car Matters award at the 2014 Hilton Head Concours. Very few black Tigers were built and only a handful had the red interior with black piping. One family owned prior to my purchase, the car was rarely seen in public. No rust ro repairs, no paintwork, a true time capsule. This car is featured in the January 2016 issue of Classic Motorsports Magazine and the April 2016 issue of Hemmings Sport and Exotics.Heres the link.http://www.hemmings.com/magazine/hsx/2016/04/Catch-a-Tiger---1965-Sunbeam-Tiger-Mk-I/3749583.html. If you are looking for the nicest original Tiger available with rare options, this is it. Runs perfectly and everything works as it should. This car was ordered new with a hard top and it has never been off the car. The soft top appears to be unused. This is an early production car with the Cobra short shifter. Not far into production, Sunbeam switched to a longer shift handle. The earliest Tigers had black dashes. This is one of the first cars built with a wood dash, which Sunbeam pulled from the Alpine GT production line. This is distinguished by the word choke stenciled on the dash and the Alpine clock.
