ENGINE: fresh C5 AE 289cid/4V engine, this engine was pulled in 2014 to improve top performance and driven show, new Edelbrock aluminum intake, Edelbrock 1405/500cfm carburetor that are painted black to look virtually stock, new Doug Herbert hydraulic street cam setup built for low end torque just installed to improve performance, Ford T-5 5-speed transmission with stock style shifter, special driveshaft with the length for the 5-speed that has been completely restored, fresh installation of Borgeson variable power steering, reconditioned radiator, new water pump, thermostat, hoses and clamps, full tune includes the spark plugs, wires, cap and points, all fresh fluids, the final build was ready in 2014. I have added 600 miles to original miles. since rebuild INTERIOR: blue standard interior with rear fold down seat, front safety belts, AM/FM/CD head unit in stock radio location, correct plaid trunk mat with full size standard spare with matching plaid spare cover. RUNNING GEAR/DRIVESHAFT: fully restored driveshaft just built and installed, most people do not realize that the driveshaft in these 1965-1966 Mustangs have been subject to twisting torque motions for over 45 years, the special work includes pulling the unit, taking it to a restorer, the shaft is balanced and strengthened, the U joints are rebuilt, the slip yoke on the input end is also rebuilt, the unit is spun balanced, to complete said work with new installation is $630 alone. SUSPENSION/BRAKES/WHEELS: to include the excellent stopping, a dual line master cylinder for the Ford front GT disc brakes and new pads are installed. Borgeson power steering complete system is just installed, this variable ratio box is very desired in the andlsquo;real worldandrsquo;, new 1 Shebly sway bar with bushings, steel reinforced Shelby hood that was acquired by the last collector who owned it 20 years, choice of new 4x5 styled steel wheels with 195/74/14 whitewall radial tires or the aggressive looking 14x7 Magnum 500 wheels with 205/70/14 BF Goodrich radial TAs. SUMMARY: beautiful Mustang 2+2 andlsquo;Aandrsquo; Fastback in very desirable Guardsman Blue with the fold down rear seat, safety belts and fresh strong andlsquo;289andrsquo;, 5-speed transmission, top mechanical and show car fun to drive, highly show detailed underchassis.
