Description:

This 1965 Lincoln Continental convertible was built in Wixom, Michigan on September 15, 1964 and delivered on October 1, 1964. One of 3,365 1965 Lincoln convertibles built, it was ordered by a doctor in Fairbanks, Alaska where a Lincoln convertible must have been a very rare sight! The original owner moved from Alaska and shipped the Lincoln to his new home in Southern California in 1983. The original dealerandrsquo;s Bill of Sale, ownerandrsquo;s manual, and service records accompany the car. Also included is a notarized affidavit of authenticity from the original owner when the car was sold to the second owner in April 1984. Itandrsquo;s a stunning car with a gorgeous Arctic White exterior and red interior.

This Lincoln has always been treasured and carefully maintained. In spite of being an Alaska car from 1964 until 1984 when it was shipped to Southern California, this Lincoln has absolutely no rust and was obviously never driven on salty winter roads. This car looks and drives like a new Lincoln, solid, quiet, and powerful. My intention for the past 20 years of ownership has been to drive a 1965 Lincoln convertible that appears and functions as it did when it was new. It was never my desire to own a trailered show car thatandrsquo;s only taken to shows to collect trophies. When Lincolns of this vintage are maintained properly, they drive magnificently like no other car on the road, and that statement can be made about this car. Although I havenandrsquo;t taken the car to shows to collect trophies, the authentically restored and detailed engine compartment and the entire car would surely be awarded high points by Lincoln experts. Superb body, paint, chrome, and interior surely puts this 1965 Lincoln near the top of the finest ones in existence.

During my ownership I have meticulously maintained the car, returning it to like-new condition. For example, the straight and dent-free body was repainted to the original Arctic White color, the engine compartment has been cosmetically and mechanically restored to high-point factory original appearance and function, including original style hose clamps and correct original appearance semi-gloss black on the air cleaner and valve covers. The valve cover gaskets are NOS original-style silver color gaskets stapled to the valve covers as equipped at the factory (see photos).

The body is straight, rust-free, and dent-free and was refinished in the correct Arctic White color. All exterior chrome is either NOS or expertly re-chromed, and all stainless trim was polished. The front bumper,
