Details: | In 1965 the Cadillac Eldorado became a Fleetwood sub-series and was redesigned from the previous year model. Even though it rides on the same 129.5 inch wheelbase, this generation Eldorado has a more flat planed tail fin as well as sharper, more distinct body lines that replaced the rounded look of the early 60andrsquo;s Cadillacandrsquo;s. Shown here is a 1966 Cadillac Eldorado convertible which is very similar to the 1965 model year Cadillac but with a one year only coarser mesh grill insert for the radiator, which was divided by a thicker metal horizontal center bar housing and rectangular parking lights. This 1966 Eldorado convertible is a truly laser straight, show quality vehicle that is presented in an Eldorado only Flamenco Red paint color with white convertible top. The Cadillac was originally powered by a 429ci V8 engine that has now been upgraded and replaced with the infamous Cadillac 500ci V8 engine out of a later 1976 model. The stout and extremely reliable 500ci V8 is backed up by a Bowties overdrive 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission and heavy duty torque converter making this a great running and driving vehicle overall. Under the hood you will find the Cadillac is equipped with chrome valve covers, chrome air cleaner, power steering, power brakes, a full stainless steel exhaust, new spark plugs, new spark plug wires as well as air conditioning. The Cadillacs straight and smooth body is accented by the Eldorado only Crandegrave;me perforated leather interior. The interior is in great condition with no tears, smells or imperfections showing at all. The Crandegrave;me leather stands out and looks fantastic against the red dashboard, red carpet and real wood top door panel pieces. Other features of the gorgeous interior are an AM/FM radio, red seat-belts, power windows, power seats, power vent wings, as well as automatic climate controls. The Eldorado rolls on 15-inch Hankook Optimo thin white wall radial tires that are almost new as well as Cadillac Eldorado correct polished hubcaps. The Cadillac handles smoothly and is stopped through the power disc brakes that were recently all gone through about 500 miles ago. With only 2,250 examples of the 1966 Eldorado convertible produced, exclusivity is guaranteed as well as collectibility. There are few cars that can equal the grace and elegance of this sculpted piece of automotive art. Do not miss out on this opportunity to acquire a tremendous example of American power and luxury that cannot be compared to by any other automotive manufacturer! |
