The real thing - 1-owner 1966 Regal Red Corvair Monza Coupe. This Corvair was purchased new from Hill Chevrolet in Huntsville Alabamaby the current ownerin August 1966. It has all the original, number matching running gear. The car comes with the original Sales Invoice, owners manual and much of the maintenance records. . It has never been in an accident. The car has been freshened up in the last year after being in storage for the last ten years. The engine starts and runs well and is used as a daily driver, but only in nice weather. In the last year the brake system was replaced andndash; new master cylinder, wheel cylinders, linings and hoses. All the things that make the car a reliable driver have been replaced andndash; the Viton push rod tube O ring seals are new. The clutch cable is new. New carburetor kits have been installed, as have new coil, condenser and points. A new gas tank and fuel level sensor were installed. A rebuilt steering gear box was installed. All five white wall tires are new and are mounted on the original 13-inch wheels. This Corvair runs and drives like a new one. The car was repainted in the mid 1980andrsquo;s and is not as bright as it once was, but it still looks good for a daily driver. The radio is original and does not work. It does not burn or leak oil. It is a reliable daily driver with all new parts that contribute to a Corvair being a dependable classic car. This car is fairly priced at $7,500. |
