Originally assembled on November 1 1965 this 1966 Corvette Big Block Convertible is in very nice condition and theres no doubt in our mind that it was originally a 427ci/425hp car. This cars paint is good-vg looking to be somewhat newer with a great shine. Convertible top is BRAND NEW. With the exception of the windshield all exterior glass in this car shows a correct date code. Chrome bumpers show a newer finish and are good-vg. Exterior door handles are vg as is the weatherstripping and taillights and emblems are vg-exc looking to be recent. This car wears a set of correct style hubcaps in good condition with vg steel wheels. Radial whitewall tires show an average of 9/32nds tread depth remaining. The interior of this 1966 Corvette Big Block Convertible shows good condition seats and steering wheel vg-exc door panels and loop carpet good-vg gauges and GM seatbelts good condition center console and vg dash pads. The engine in this car shows casting number 3963512 and original casting date July 25 1970. According to Corvette By the Numbers this casting number was used for both 454ci and 427ci engines for 1969 and 1970. Needless to say this solid lifter big block packs a serious punch! Correct ignition shielding braided spark plug wires chrome valve covers and radiator hoses are in place and the both the engine compartment and frame are nicely detailed.
