Mustang Coupe. 14-month restoration just completed. $34,000 in receipts. Outstanding, show quality paint, less than 3,000 miles on complete engine rebuild, new vinyl top, new front seats (far better than originals), new steering wheel, new stereo with iPod hook up and ability to add CD player, new floor and trunk mats, new weatherstripping. Very good chrome and lots of new stainless pieces. Far too many new parts to list. NO RUST and NO BONDO in this car! Car stripped to bare metal, all rust cut out and replaced with new metal. BOTH rear quarter panels replaced with new ones. The floors and seat risers have also been replaced with new ones. Underside of the car has been painted to look better than new. Engine is 289 ci with 4-barrel. Automatic transmission is original Ford C4 three speed. New Mallory electronic ignition and Flowmaster mufflers that sound great. Im retired and have restored several vintage autos through the years as a hobby. This has been the most complete restoration Ive done, and it has been a pleasure to see this great little car now look much better than when it was new. Time now for new owner. Yes, there are cheaper first generation Mustangs out there. But beware of old parts and rust covered over with Bondo. For the price Im asking, I dont think you will find a better first generation Mustang anywhere. Please know I HATE BS and dont practice it!
